Harwick Homes Undertakes Six Projects in Bonita Bay

Harwick Homes has announced the completion and/or progression of six residential remodeling projects during 2019 in the Bonita Bay community. The company also completed one new construction home in the community and will soon begin construction on two new homes. A custom home builder and remodeling company in Bonita Bay for more than 25 years, Harwick Homes has built and remodeled more than 200 residences to date within the community.

Recently, the company completed a kitchen and partial home renovation of a residence in the Deerwood area. Having purchased the home almost 10 years ago, the client was ready to update its appearance and improve its functionality, with a focus on making the kitchen area an important feature in the home. The four-month project consisted of a complete removal of all finishes (soffits, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and plumbing fixtures) down to the framing for the transformation, in addition to the relocation of electrical and plumbing based on the home’s new design and layout.

In the kitchen, a decorative bar and serving area was integrated into the area’s main space. A walled-off area separating the kitchen from the living room was removed to create an open and modern space. A large island was added to anchor the transformed layout, providing additional seating and workspace. Features and finishes include new Décor cabinetry, Jenn-Air appliance package, Cambria and Pompeii Quartz countertop products joined together with polished Calcutta porcelain tile. Built in 1997 and situated on an oversized lot adjacent to the 15th hole of the Bay Island course, this open floor plan estate has four bedrooms, den, and three and a half baths in 4,123 square feet. The residence features a natural gas fireplace, oversized three-car garage, two air conditioning systems, dual water heaters, and spacious, lushly landscaped outdoor living area with heated pool and spa. The project was completed in January 2019.

Harwick Homes recently completed a second renovation project in the Rookery Lake neighborhood, which it originally built in 2003. The project included reroofing, interior repainting, minor interior enhancements, and replacing interior lighting controls for the two-story home with four bedrooms, five and a half baths in 8,198 square feet. Beautifully and masterfully designed with impeccable craftsmanship throughout, the home has four bedrooms, five and one-half baths, den, resort-style pool and spa, elevator, an impressive kitchen and open entertaining area with sliding glass doors that open to picturesque lake and golf views from a covered veranda and summer kitchen with outdoor fireplace. The 8,198 square foot home has custom wood crown moldings, intricate detail in coffered and tray ceilings, 1,000-bottle wine cellar with cedar storage, faux finishes, groin vault ceilings, Chenet stairs with Brazilian cherry staircase, marble floors, renaissance collection vineyard wood etched wine door, SubZero refrigerators, generator, hurricane protection, and grand circular driveway with an entry fountain. Renovations were completed in November.

For its project in the Spring Ridge area, Harwick Homes is reroofing and repainting the exterior, in addition to other exterior enhancements, for a French Mediterranean-style estate at the end of a cul-de-sac overlooking the 12th hole of the Marsh Golf Course. Built in 1999, the four-bedroom, four- and one-half bath home has three separate guest suites in 7,530 square feet. Its large master suite includes a private study with fireplace. The grand parlor with fireplace opens to the private dining room and piano. The kitchen features a spacious butler’s pantry. A large informal gathering area and gallery leads to the Billiard Room, veranda and pool. Interior features include built-in cabinets, marble floors, 10-foot wood paneled doors and 10 foot sliding and hidden glass doors. The home has an oversized three-car garage. The project was completed in November.

Its fourth renovation project, located in the Creekside neighborhood, is a complete residential pool deck and lanai renovation. The renovation involves removing the home’s entire pool cage, redesigning and refinishing the pool and pool deck, and adding a covered outdoor living area with summer kitchen for entertaining. Modifying the pool deck footprint involves extensive structural, plumbing and electrical work, while redesigning and refinishing the pool and surrounding areas requires substantial demolition, renovation, installation, carpentry, and landscaping labor. The renovations will be completed this month.

Harwick Homes is reroofing and repainting the exterior, trellis and lanai/pool cage of a second residence in the Spring Ridge area. Built in 1999, this home has 7,035 square feet in a five bedroom, five and one-half bath floor plan design situated on a .75-acre homesite. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2020.

Harwick Homes’ sixth Bonita Bay project is a whole home interior renovation plus the creation of a small addition for a residence in the Spring Ridge area. The project includes completely renovating the home’s kitchen, dining room, living room, master suite, library, two guest suites, powder bath, and converting an existing powder bath into an ensuite master laundry room. Built in 2000, the home has three bedrooms and four baths in 4,604 square feet with panoramic golf course views. The home’s wooden double-door entry leads to an expansive picture window with views to the pool and outdoor living areas. Detailed architectural features and finishes throughout the home include volume ceilings, marble flooring, wide panel door framing, palladium windows, plantation shutters, deep crown molding profiles, custom wood cabinetry and granite counters in the kitchen, fully pocketing sliding glass doors. A Japanese bath (with the sink, toilet and bath all in separate rooms) offers extra space and ample, private seating areas. The home’s three-car garage doubles as a den and/or fitness room. The renovated home will showcase an interior design by Sherri DuPont, President, Principal Owner, ASID, Collins and DuPont Interior Design. The project is scheduled for completion next spring.
