COLLIER BUILDERS GROUP HONORS YEAR'S TOP ACHIEVERS

2003 Sand Dollar Awards

The Sales & Marketing Council of the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) announced on Saturday, May 10, the winners of the 13th Annual Sand Dollar Awards, in front of a sold out audience of 750 at the Registry Resort.

The Sand Dollar Award signifies the highest level of professionalism and excellence in the industry. Only members of CBIA are eligible. The awards recognize excellence in building, development, landscape design, interior design, remodeling, commercial design, advertising, marketing and sales.

Thirty-six judges, all members of building industries from around the nation, are brought in for two days of judging. Entries are ranked by a point system and Comerica Bank officials tabulate final scores.

This year’s competition had 385 entrants competing in 73 categories, the most ever. Ninety-five member companies were represented. A majority of the homes entered this year were priced at more than $500,000, with 24 homes valued at more than $3.5 million.
